Class Rules & Etiquette
Because we practice in close quarters under intense conditions, we hold strict etiquette rules to ensure a safe, focused, and respectful environment for everyone.
Timing & Entry
- Arrive on Time: Class starts on time. Late entry is strictly prohibited, as it disrupts the opening breathing exercise.
- The Room is a Quiet Zone: Many students use the minutes before class to mentally prepare or meditate. Respect their silence.
- No Electronics: Smartphones are not allowed.
- No Perfume, Fragrances or Scented Moisturizer: Keep our shared air fresh and clear for all to breathe deeply.
During the 90 Minutes
- Commit to the Full Session: Plan to stay in the room for the entire 90 minutes. Leaving and re-entering disrupts the energy of the room. If you feel dizzy, sit down—do not walk out.
- Wipe Sweat Mindfully: Try to resist the urge to constantly wipe your sweat during the postures. Wiping actually triggers your body to sweat more and breaks your concentration. Let it drip!
- Follow the Instructor: Please only perform the postures being commanded by the teacher. Avoid doing your own modifications unless discussed with the instructor before class for an injury.
- The Final Savasana: When class ends, please spend at least 2 minutes resting in Savasana (corpse pose) to allow your heart rate to lower and your body to absorb the benefits of the practice. When exiting, please do so quietly.
